SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — In a story published Jul. 16, 2025, about California’s high-speed rail project, The Associated Press erroneously reported the section from Merced to Bakersfield will be 119 miles (191.5 kilometers) long. It will be 171 miles (275 kilometers).
